  When people see .wordpress in my URL, what does it mean to them?

  Hi powdermagazine, it just means you havent purchased a domain name of yours that can be used on your WordPress.com blog/website.

  You can still use this for as long as you want for free but if you would like to point a domain name you’ve purchased (eg powedermagazine.xyz) , you can look into using the premium plan for starters https://wordpress.com/pricing/
