Hi there – I have my WordPress set up but how do I transfer it so .Wordpress.com isn’t part of my URL and I can just use/direct people to my own URL. Can I do that through WordPress directly?

A custom domain is all you need to remove the .wordpress.com subdomain. Do you own one?
If you don’t you can either purchase one here on wordpress.com or somewhere else if the one you want is not available here. If you purchase it from somewhere else, then it’s the domain that you will need to either map or transfer to the WordPress site you have set up.
