Hi there. I am wondering if someone can help me. A while back, I attempted to convert a blog of mine to a new URL. Instead of my old site, it would be levelstory.wordpress.com. I ended up backing off this idea almost immediately after doing it, opting to change it again and start on a fresh site. Unfortunately for me, levelstory.wordpress.com is STILL unavailable (it has easily been over a year) and when I try to visit the URL, it says it doesn’t exist. Now I have remade my site but since the URL isn’t available, I have it as lvlstory.wordpress.com. Is it possible I can get the name ‘levelstory’ back? I should mention, the account I attempted to do this under was not the same as the one I am on now. If you need that for your records, the account I attempted to do this with was under the email, ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff).’ The site that I once changed to ‘levelstory’ is now ‘https://dcarpentersite.wordpress.com/’ if that helps. Please let me know if this can be done, I’d REALLY like to have my URL back. Thank you!

If you changed the URL of levelstory.wordpress.com to a different address you would have seen and clicked through the warnings telling you the change would delete that address forever.

I don’t believe it said that? It mentioned I was letting it go for someone else, but I was okay with that mostly because I figured I would grab it once it became available again. But I wanted to un-attach it from my current site to use it for a new one. What options did I have? Not sure why it can’t be made available again.
