URL address problem

Hm, to which WordPress.org website did you want to migrate your WordPress.com website? You can still access your WordPress.org website by using the same credentials as you did before for accessing its wp-admin area. If you are not sure which password you used, please use Lost password link and you should receive an email to create a new password.

Let me know how it went.

It was just WordPress.org – perhaps it takes longer than 24 hours to migrate?

Can I just manually change the server address?

Hm, I am not exactly sure what you mean here.

WordPress.org websites require to be hosted with a hosting provider + you need to install WordPress on the server. WordPress.com websites are hosted solutions and you don’t need to install anything.

So basically, if you migrated from WordPress.com website to a WordPress.org website, you needed to first install WordPress on a server which you previously got from your hosting provider. Did you follow the link from the guide I included in my last reply? Please let me know.

Any idea how to add a page, such as contact us, to the side bar so it’s next to comments etc?

To be crystal clear on this we cannot help you here at wordpress.COM with any wordpress.ORG issues. Our support docs do not apply to it, and we do not provide support for sites we do not host.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
