Url and title name change

My url and title won’t change even though it’s shown as changed and saved when I go into my settings. I need it to not say my name because I’m going into a closed country for mission work. I changed it from alexarobertsblog.wordpress.com to thislionheart.wordpress.com, but if I try to plug in that address it doesn’t exist. It’s super important for me to change it because I need to use this blog for supporters to donate to me while I’m out of the country! Let me know what I should do!

http://thislionheart.wordpress.com/ does exist. It was registered 3 years ago by this username account https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/thislionheart. You cannot register a URL that’s already been registered by another username account.

There is no expiration date on blogs unused, reserved or otherwise. If you can make contact on your own with the owner of an unused blog via a contact form or commenting, then providing the are agreeable there is a means of a consenting blog owner to transfer the blog to another username account. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
In the case that there is no contact information Staff will not breach the privacy policy and provide you with an email address.
If you are not successful, you can chnage to another blog address that has not been registered.
If you want to change the blog address ie. the URL starting with http:// then you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to do that and the URL you desire must be available. If so then you can change the URL by using this guide
