I would like to change the url address at wordpress.com for one of my blogs. The address was previously taken by an blog user who apparently abandoned his blog since 2007. Is there any possibility to have access to that url address?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no expiration date on blogs unused or otherwise. Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.

Only if you can contact him and he assigns it to you. You could try leaving comments on his blog etc. WordPress.com never recycle blog names, and they wold not take a blog from someone nomatter how long it was inactive.
