URL change
-
Hello.
We have a blog with a friend : https://twomonthinchicago.wordpress.com/
As there is a mistake in the URL, we wanted to change it, but we didn’t find who to do that.
So I created another blog : https://twomonthsinchicago.wordpress.com/
And when I went back to the first blog to delete it, there it was suggested : ‘I want to change the address of my site’. So we wanted to do that, and I deleted the new blog I just created, to get back the URL and change our old mistaked blog with this new corrected address.
Problem when we tried to change the URL : ‘this address is not available’…
Is it possible to unlock the temporary URL I used so we can change our blog URL?
Thank you !
Best regards,Fabien Graneri
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Unfortunately once a site name is created and then deleted, it can never be reused. You are warned about this multiple times before deleting a site.

Oh. And no admin can help me? :/
Alternatively, it’s impossible to restore the deleted site to use it? We will transfer our articles if needed.
Thank you. -

I have bad news for you, @fabiengraneri
Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to reuse its WordPress.com address
Addresses (URLs) for blogs that have been deleted by the owner will remain deleted. We cannot, under any circumstances, allow someone to take over the address of a blog that was owned and deleted by its original/previous owner. Please do not submit support requests asking us to do this.
There are not exceptions for this rule here, in WordPress.com
But you have a option:
Fortunately, there is an infinite supply of unused blog addresses, so our policy should not limit your address selection. Note that if you add a custom domain for use with your blog, the original ‘wordpress.com’ domain/URL is never visible to your readers for as long as the custom domain is used on your blog.
