URL change

  I am trying to change my blog’s URL to someone else’s old URL, and I have their permission, but when I type it says the ‘site has already been used.’ Is there any way I can change it? I have proof that I am allowed to use it.

  If you are referring to a somethingorother.WordPress.Com url, they have to transfer ownership to you by following the directions here:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
