URL Change

  Hello,

  I changed the url of my website since it was too long and now everytime I try to access my website or wordpress there is an IP error and I am locked out of it. How can I get access and get my website back? In addition, previously whenever I typed in the url it went to an error page instead of the home page I designed. Please help.

  Hi there,

  On what site are you working? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.

  If you’re speaking of a WordPress site hosted somewhere else, changing the domain on a stand-alone WordPress site like that has to follow a specific process. You can find the documentation for that process here, though many hosting providers have their own process for this via their hosting control panel.
