URL Change

  Hi everyone!
  I have a free WordPress website on which I have temporarily changed the URL. Unfortunately when I try to put back the former URL, a dialog box tell me that the URL is no longer unavailable (‘******** is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.’). Is it possible to have my original URL back?

  You can’t change the URL temporarily. As very clearly stated when you deleted your old URL

  Once you change the “example” part of example.wordpress.com, the old address will stop working. Visitors will not be redirected to your new site address. The old address will not be available for use again.

  . So your old URL cannot be restored.

  What was the URL of the site? It may still be in the grace period that we can restore.

  The URL was benoitbrebion.wordpress.com

  Yep, that’s within the grace period. https://benoitbrebion.wordpress.com/ has been restored.

  You cannot change back to an existing or deleted site.

  You’ll need to export https://wordpress.com/support/export/ and import your content https://wordpress.com/support/import/#importing-content-from-another-word-press-blog to move back to that site.

  I managed to export and then import the content without any problem. Thanks again for your help!
