Also, I’m not seeking help with the old Media Butler website. I’m talking about https://lifeofbutler.wordpress.com

This is the first topic you ever started about that site – https://wordpress.com/forums/users/lifeofbutler/topics/
If that site was deleted back in October, you are way over 30 days. All content has been purged from our servers and the subdomain has been blocked forever.

Forever is a word that carries a lot of weight. As is the metaphor of “lifeofbutler” being deleted forever. If the subdomain has been blocked forever, perhaps you could tell me why content is still being displayed on the subdomain?

Hi there,
That particular site was deleted 8 years ago, and according to our logs, there hasn’t been any activity on it since 2015. It’s possible that you might be thinking of a different site that you’re currently working on.
Additionally, I must let you know that after 30 days after a site’s deletion, we’re unable to restore it. All the content associated with that site has been permanently purged from our systems.
If you’re working on a different site and need assistance with editing its content, I’m here to help. Please provide me with the correct site address, and I’ll be more than happy to help you.

I don’t need the old content, I’m just puzzled as to why media is still being displayed on the subdomain. If it has been permanently deleted, the subdomain should show a 404 message, not WordPress advertising content. Is there any way to re-enable the subdomain so I can add new content?
-
Could you please share a screenshot of what you’re currently seeing when you visit that subdomain?
From my end, I only see the typical message displayed for sites that have been removed, with no advertisements. Here’s a screenshot:

As previously mentioned, subdomains cannot be restored after 30 days due to our policy.

Yep, I see what you see. A sentence stating the site is no longer available with a WordPress logo.

Hi there,
As mentioned, if there is still media you see viewable that was connected to that site, please provide the URL of that file. We’d be happy to look further into this, as nothing associated with the site should still be available.
Thank you!
