URL deleted by mistake
-
Hi – My name is Melody. I have had an account with wordpress for years and I wanted to change my url. To do so, I worked on my blog layout and saved my new name by creating a new blog (within my blogs) with the name: prettyfashionforward.wordpress.com
I tried to change and switch the name but wordpress wouldn’t let me so I deleted the blog “prettyfashionforward.wordpress.com” in order to use the address for my actual blog: onedayinapril.wordpress.com. AND NOW, it tells me it got deleted and I cant ever use it again. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me.
Thank you
MelodyThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry but that’s not possible. There is no way to recover the URL you deleted because there is no recycling of deleted blog URLs here at WordPress.com. This prevents the scenario of someone impersonating the blogger who originally had the deleted URL after they deleted it.
There are 3 warning of this given prior to blog deletion and then a confirmation link in an email is sent, and the blog is not deleted until that link is clicked. That prevents accidental deletions by insuring everyone who deletes a blog has had lots of previous warnings that what they are doing is irreversible.
Confirm by reading http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/ and
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/You can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.

Hi Timethief. Thank you for your answer but this is not true. I NEVER confirmed it by email because I NEVER received an email from wordpress on my email.
