URL incorrectly redirecting

  Hi there,

  I am an administrator for this site. We have let the domain registration slip because we are happy to use the site as a wordpress site, i.e: thelondonpostcard.wordpress.com. However, whenever we go to that URL we get a lapsed domain registration notice (with an angry robot icon) and are unable to enter the site.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi, there.

  Try this. Go to this link.

  https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/thelondonpostcard.wordpress.com/

  Click on the URL you want to use (thelondonpostcard.wordpress.com), and select “make primary” and then “update primary domain.”

  This should make the angry robot disappear.

  Reply back here if that doesn’t solve it.

  Thanks for quick reply – but I’m afraid the robot remains. I clicked on make primary – but there didn’t seem to be an extra ‘update primary domain’ option. But when I go back into settings, I see that the wordpress Url is now set as primary.

  When you first clicked to “make primary” did you get a message something like the one in this screenshot?
