URL issue

Major issue. Posting on behalf of friend who has tech issues.
A while back, a blog was started and the URL http://www.artsinterview.com was used as the URL, purchased through WP.
All good.
Friend then got new account it seems, and started a new blog…. we know this because the old blog not listed in her new account blog list… unless there’s another reason for it not to work?
However, the URL she picked is showing up in her domains page… I would expect it not to because it’s associated with another account.
Why is it showing up in the domains page of the new account? No matter what she does, she cannot point that URL at her new site.
Every time she chooses the URL, it goes to the old site even though the old site isn’t on her blog account list.
Why is this happening?
She’s purchased a new .org address for the site, but when I clicked on it to be the address, it goes through to the old site.
It’s almost like there are two blogs in one… the new one overlaying the old. Does anyone have any helpful advice for me?

I’ve tagged this for Staff assistance to sort out. It is indeed confusing since the page source for that URL shows that the site is indeed hosted on WordPress.com (according to the generator notation).
Please subscribe to this thread from the sidebar if you haven’t already so that you will see Staff’s answer.
Most importantly, do not bump this thread unless you have new information to share with them. Bumping the thread will push it further down in their wait list since threads are normally handled on a timestamp basis. They have a very large backlog right now.

Can you confirm the account usernames and site addresses in question?
Once I get some feedback, we can take the next troubleshooting step in resolving your issue.
