URL Links in Posts

  I have followed the instructions here to the letter:

  How do I make a link to another site?

  However, when I insert a link in this way its as though WP tries to find this page on my blog. The blog stays as it is and the following message is displayed:

  Doh!

  Something has gone wrong, the page you’re looking for can’t be found.

  Hopefully one of the options below will help you

  * You can search the site using the search box to the right
  * You could visit the homepage
  * Or you could have a look through the recent posts listed below, maybe what you’re looking for is there

  Recent Posts

  * Link Testing
  * Test

  What am I doing wrong?

  Well I found a work around. I turned off Rich Text Editing in the profile screen.

  Pretty sure its not a problem at my end as I’ve tried on two seperate PCs using IE and Firefox.

  I’m glad to hear you found the “fix”. Many of us have shall we say – turned away from the dark side. We have turned the *coughing* text rich editor off.

  Thanks for the compliment on http://coyotes.wordpress.com (personal blog). As I have three blogs and as our usernames are only linked to one blog I edit my profile on Sundays and change the link. You reminded me to change the link today to http://timethief.wordpress.com (environmental/political blog) and next week it will change to http://bloggersblurt.wordpress.com (on blogging).
  P.S. In the 4 months I’ve been a blogger I’v learned never to miss an opportunity to shamelessly promote your blogs. And I’ll bet that made you smile, eh?.;) *LOL*
