url name I (partly) registered when not logged in, unavailable now that I logged

  I tried to register ‘trumpetingbanner.wordpress.com’, but wasn’t logged in. I tried to log in, changed my password, got logged in, but didn’t have a blog with this name. I tried to register it again (while logged in), but I get the error message that it is not available. However surfing to the url there is a message that says ‘trumpetingbanner.wordpress.com is no longer available, the authors have deleted this site’.

  You can’t use/register trumpetingbanner.wordpress.com because the author/s deleted it.

  Addresses (URLs) for blogs that have been deleted by the owner will remain deleted. We cannot, under any circumstances, allow someone to take over the address of a blog that was owned and deleted by its original/previous owner. Please do not submit support requests asking us to do this.

  Hmm, OK, that clears it up, but it is strange that I have deleted that blog in process of logging in with a new password…
