  It seems I have missed the deadline to renew the mezatechnology.com url … Would it be possible to renew it at this point?

  Hi there!

  Once a domain expires you are still able to renew it, but it is a little more difficult and depending on the length of time since the expiration date- more expensive.

  There is a grace period for most domains registered through WordPress.com for about 10 days to two weeks. You can renew during this time at the regular price. After the grace period you can still renew the domain during the redemption period with an additional $80 redemption fee.   You can renew your domain on the Manage Purchases section of your Personal Settings.

  Auto-renewal can also be turned on via Purchases so you don’t have to worry about missing the expiration date in the future.
