URL trouble continued

  In checking to see if the file attached to this url (http://jkhrpr.files.wordpress.com/2011/11/carne1.pdf) had been deleted, the page was directed to a WordPress logo and a statement that the file was gone.

  However, upon changing a new file to the above url after the supposed deletion, the old file resurfaced. Now the old URL seems to be up and running again, directing me to the old file.

  I need to put a new file and maintain the old URL if possible. If not possible, will the old file actually be deleted, or will WordPress store it forever?

  http://jkhrpr.files.wordpress.com/2011/11/carne1.pdf is definitely gone, there’s no trace of it on our servers.

  Try uploading your new file again, but clear your browser’s cache before viewing it.
