url when creating a wordpress account

    Hello,

    I have registered to wordpress and received a welcome email in which it indicates that my website lemontolympefr.wordpress.com, is up and running. How can I change my url? I wanted to register lemontolympe.fr when signing up and I didn’t realize ‘wordpress.com’ would be added to my domain name. FYI – I purchased lemontolympe.fr with o2switch

    Hi Charlène, no problem. You can add a custom domain to the site if it’s using a paid plan.

    So first, choose a plan here:
    https://wordpress.com/plans

    Then use the domain credit at https://wordpress.com/domains

    Finally, since your domain is registered elsewhere, be sure to update its settings to point to our servers, and wait a few hours for that to take effect.
