urls with added domain

    Could someone please tell me if I purchase a domain from someone other than wordpress, can I add it such that new posts will have urls with the new domain and not “.wordpress.com”? If so, how do I accomplish this? Thanks.

    If you buy then map a domain all posts on your blog will have the domain name, not .wordpress.com
    If you stop the mapping then it all changes back.
