Use blog without site
-
Hi everyone,
I’m sorry for this very basic question but I haven’t touch my blog in years, and I’m at a loss.
I want to use the blog I created at https://minimat.wordpress.com/ but whenever I try to do anything, like write a new entry, I’m automatically redirected to my site (minimat.fr).
I can’t find a way to unlink the two, thanks in advance for your help! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Hi! I don’t see any automatic redirects in place, but I do see you’re not logged into the correct account for that site.
Can you log out, then log in again as user minimat?
-
Thanks for your answer! Actually I think I am logged as minimat (the upper right-hand panel says so).

Actually I found out that one of my accounts admins my site and the other admins my blog. I also understand that I can’t merge the two accounts, as one is linked to WP.com and the other to WP.org. So I can’t manage both my site and blog under the same account.
Can you confirm it’s the case? -
Hi –
Your first post here was made under the backintosh account.
There aren’t any site redirects in place on that account.
Next, you posted from the minimat account.
There aren’t any site redirects in place on that account, either.
You are correct in that your WordPress.com, and WordPress.org accounts are not connected, they are separate things.
In order to work on https://minimat.wordpress.com/ you need to sign in to WordPress.com. In order to work on http://www.minimat.fr you’d be using WordPress.org.
The two sites aren’t linked in any way that I can see. They load as independent sites.
I hope that helps :) Write back if you need anything else.
