use current wordpress sites for additional sites
-
I have had two wordpress websites for a number of years. They were developed by a professional who is now deceased. I update and change content on these sites on a daily basis, one has a blog. Since I know how to interact with these sites and have a need for another website that deals with a different subject, could I just use the code from one of these sites to use for this new site, obviously changing the name and domain.
I have already set up a domain name through enom and have notified the host of my other two sites, go-daddy, of this new site. It appears that I just have to notify enom to direct the domain name towards Go-Daddy.
So here is my question, Can I just use the code of one of my two websites for this new website, obviously changing names where applicable?

You can, if your website is a WordPress.org one. This is the forum for WordPress.com websites, however, where you cannot typically just use your own code. See here for the differences: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
