Use default header on other pages when custom header on first page

I read about featured image / custom header (great help article) but can’t find how to use the default header on other page(s) if I have a custom header on the front page. How would I do this? I’m using Coraline.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please always read your theme’s description and bookmark the link so you have it on hand. http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/coraline/
From Appearance → Header you can also upload your own header image, change header text color, or remove header text completely. You can also upload custom images for individual posts and pages using Featured Images.
The header image is 770 by 140 in the two column layouts 990 by 180.
Setting feature images > http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image
If you don’t see the page attributes module then make sure that you don’t have it hidden in your screen options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/

When I upload a custom image using featured images, I then have the header AND the featured image show up- this is not what I want. I want a custom looking image on my home page, and a different default header on the subsequent pages. Is this possible?
