Use media to customise background

Hi
I’m new to WordPress and would just like to know whether I can customise my background by using the images in my media tab instead of having to upload the same image every time I change my theme?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you referring to image backgrounds? If so then you will have to delete the olad ones from your media Library and upload new ones that are presized to fit each new theme you activate as has a unique size. Note that when the cropper comes into play image quality is lost. That’s why we recommend optimizing all images first and resizing it to the correct specifications prior to uploading.

At the moment, it doesn’t look like you can’t use Media Library to select a new background image. (Someone correct me if there’s a workaround?)

I’m sorry but there isn’t a workaround that I’m aware of and yes I did search not only WordPress.com threads but beyond that as well.
