use my domain name to make a proper website on wordpress

  Pardon my question as I’m new to world of website, hostings, blogs etc.

  Ok so, I have a domain name which I want to put on wordpress to create a website ( for free) I bought my domain name from go daddy.
  I tried doing it but it say wordpress in the end after my website address which I don’t want.

  Please help.

  Your WordPress.com blog comes with a free address, like example.wordpress.com. You can get rid of the .wordpress.com part and use a custom domain name instead, like example.com.

  Adding a domain is a paid upgrade: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
