Use my purchased domain from 1&1 for my WordPress website

  How do I transfer my domain from 1&1 to my WordPress website? If I do this, can I cancel my subscription to 1&1 and keep my domain?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  It’s not possible to transfer a domain to WordPress.com, so you will need to keep it registered at 1&1 and map it here instead.

  To map a domain, first purchase a plan under My Site ->Plans, and then add the domain mapping upgrade to connect the domain.

  Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping)
