use my rserved name for my site?
-
reserved site name not coming up as “My site”. Says it’s used but it’s mine. I’m confused.
-
https://thesimplylivedlife.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.
What is the URL of the site you are referring to as “reserved” please?
-
http://thesimplyLIVEdlife.wordpress.com It was mine before on wordpress. i deleted it. The name is still reserved in my account settings but it won’t let me reactivate I guess?
-
Once a site has been deleted, the name can never be reused. There are repeated warnings about this when going through the delte process. Please see this article for more information: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

You had to ignore multiple warnings that site deletion is a permanent and irreversible act in order to delete the URL. I am sorry but you cannot claim a deleted blog URL. No one can use a deleted blog URL regardless of who registered it. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled here and you can confirm by reading:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/delete-blog/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/However, you can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.

Thank you. I just want to confirm I am stuck with the reserved name (not sure why it’s reserved and no one including myself can use it ever again) but would either need to use a new name or not use wordpress?
-
oh timethief that’s some super helpful information regarding registering the blog. Thank you so so much!!!
-
At first I thought you meant a blog that was reserved for registration under your username account that had not been deleted. You’re welcome.
