Use Paid WP domain name on other WP website

We have a paid WP domain name that was purchased after created the place holder site on WP. We now want to use the purchased domain name as the name for the place holder web and it’s content.
Can’t figure out how to change the domain from the free placeholder to the paid domain… Both are WP and both are owned by the same account holder.

Hi there, I see you had a domain here and recently canceled it along with the plan. Can you clarify what domain you’re trying to use, and what site you’re connecting it to?
The general steps are to buy the plan, then map the domain. And you’ll want to do this from the account that owns the domain. If you need more help, can you get in touch?

Thanks… Let me walk through the situation.
1. I built a free WP site for my client. The site was titled drbettycross.wordpress…etc.
2. My client purchased a domain from WP… It is titled: alternativemedicine4all.com.
3. I transferred the drbettycross site from the blog transfer page to my client.
4. now we want to change the name of the site, drbettycross to the purchased domain atlernativemedicine4all.com.
5. I remain an administrator on the drbettycross site, assuming that helps in allowing me to make some if not all of the required changes to accomplish this initial goal.
6. as an FYI, she has not yet purchased a hosting plan, but will when/as necessary.

That’s not a registered domain name yet, so all you’ll need to do is register it again under the site. :)

What you’re saying sounds logical. But, I’m just having trouble understanding the specific, steps, 1.2.3 that need to be followed to accomplish this task.
My client bought the domain, but not the hosting… But, it seems WP wants to charge her $18 to change that registration. Does that make sense?

Part of my problem is that I cannot access the screens my client has accessed. She has a screen that shows the http://www.integrativemedicine4all.com domain, but because it is not associated with a plan ( i presume that is the reason), i cannot access and manage from those screens.
HELP?

Thanks… I think once I have access, I can make the changes. I’ve done this before, but it seems my client doesn’t seem to see the add users on her screens… But I think I can work this from here… Thanks, Bob

Ok… now I seem to have all the access I need. So, I’m on this screen. Do I simply need to follow the connect to WP site, then accept the desired existing domain?
