Use Search Results as Page Display
-
Hello,
I’m using a self hosted WordPress blog. I would like to display information as it’s displayed on my search results page (http://www.sopranos.foochuck.com/?s=season+1) on a custom page that I’m going to make.
I have a few questions about this.
1. I tried copying and pasting the search.php source code into my new page, however I’m not search I can use PHP in the page editor.
2. Instead of displaying search results, I’d like to plug one of my categories into the code, so the page is dynamic, as I add new posts to that category, it will get displayed on that custom page.
3. I want to sort the category’s results from oldest to newest, instead of newest to oldest, as the search results currently does.
Here is a link to my blog if it helps:
blog: http://www.sopranos.foochuck.com/
search results page: http://www.sopranos.foochuck.com/?s=season+1
I wasn’t sure if I could post this here since it’s a self hosted blog, if it should be posted somewhere else on the forum, please let me know.
Thank you!
