use url of deleted side again

  Hi,
  I started a new blog called ‘pasteurzootechnics.wordpress.com’. I wanted to give it an independent username so I thought I delete this site from my current username. I now learned I should have transferred it to another (new) user. I was hoping I could start again and use thus url. Now it says it is in use. Does it stay in use forever?

  Deleting a site is permanent and irreversible and the process gives a number of warnings about this.
