usename link to wordpress site
-
Hello, I have asked people to post notices as part of a resouces section of my site. Unfortunately, it appears that they are authomatically allocated with a blank wordpress site which is linked to their username. If they already have a website this could be confusing and I would prefer it if this were not the case. See here for an example: http://rehabhub.com.au/marketing-services/
The poster has a website for which they have provided a link in the lower part of the bady of the text, however, if you click on the user name, tdgdesign, a link is provided to a blank wordpress site. How do we prevent this from happening? It will be confusing for people looking at the site. Is this automatic or have I done something I shouldn’t have to cause this? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Tell them to go to users > personal settings in the dashboard of the blog and then scroll down to the bottom under account settings and change the URL in the “website” field to the URL they want associated with their username when commenting.

We tried this but the link still goes to the blank wordpress site. Please tell me if there is something else we are doing wrong. Thanks.

Double-check what is in that field. Very often people leave the http in there and paste in the URL including the http, which makes it doubled. What exact contents are in the box under Website?
