User access to Private blog without Wordpess account
-
Hi,
I would like to make more use of this blog for publishing team sheets, result sheets, minutes of meetings etc but being mindful of GDPR requirements I would like to make the blog private and log the users email address with the site to make them “viewers”. That would be straight forward and absolutely no problem at all as I currently have most of their email addresses. Unfortunately, as I see it, the user needs to have created their own wordpress account. Trying to get 50, mostly elderly users, to create their own wordpress accounts when they have bearly learnt how to use email would be a game stopper!
Is this the end of the road for this idea or is there another way?
Thanks MikeThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You could try password-protecting each post and page instead: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-and-page-visibility/#changing-visibility
