User blocked invites

  Hi, i try to add another administrator to my site, every time i try i receive ‘User blocked invites’ mesage and it doesn’t alow me to send the invite.
  How can i fix this issue?

  It might be the person you are adding have blocked the invites.

  Howdy –

  We aren’t able to force someone to accept an invite. If they’re trying to accept and unable, then I would suggest you ask them to post here in this thread. From there we can take a look at their account settings and see what’s going on.

  The problem is not that the second person that I invite, has denied my invitation or invitation in general(I checked) , the problem is how I already explained initially, the invite didn’t go through at all!

  @emillyan12sep would you send the email address of the user you’re trying to invite? If you’ll type it here it will be hidden from public view so only staff can see it. We’ll see if we can spot what’s wrong.

  Hi there,

  What you describe happens because the user in question might have previously blocked WordPress.com from receiving invite emails. Let them know that they need to contact us to help them disable the block.

  The person that I want to ivite allow me to access his account so if you provide me the solution I will be able to solve this issue.

  Hi @emillyan12sep, thanks for sending the address.

  I have confirmed a few things:

  – they have not blocked us

  – we did send the invitation email 3 days ago, and their mailserver accepted it

  This tells me it’s most likely hiding in their “social” folder, so please have them try this search in their email program:

  in:all meaw wordpress

  I will try you solution for sure, thanks, but I am worrying about the message that I received “user blocked invite” that I receive and in the same time I tried to invite myself from his acount as administrator on his site and I works with no problems.

  We know they got an invite three days ago. If they did choose to block your invitation, we’ll need to figure out how to get that undone. Honestly I haven’t seen it happen before. Could you confirm with them whether they chose to block it?

  I had tried searching for that exact error, by the way, and was not able to find it in our code. So if you’re willing, would you double check once more and copy and paste the error here?

  @emillyan12sep sorry for the double update here. I did a little tinkering and managed to invite a test account, block its invites, and unblock them. So we can do this for the user.

  We would need their explicit permission though. If you are indeed able to log in as them, after confirming with them that this is what they want, can you please update this thread as them, requesting we unblock invites? We’ll reach out via their email to confirm, and then unblock.

  I am sorry to say that but nothing happened since my last message here. My friend, the one that I want to invite did not received any email message with instructions on how to solve the issue and neither here I didn’t get any steps to solve it (he is my lover and I have access to his account).
  Will you or your colleagues provide us the steps to resolve this issue? Here or by email, you have my email address and also his email address.
