User Blog Trouble
-
One of the user’s on my blog keeps having trouble with his posts. He made a post, published it and then checked it. It was fine. But then he went back a few hours later and the post was gone. Only certain remnants of the post were there.
For example, he posted an entire article with text and photos and published it. But then when he went back to check on the post all of it was gone except the title. Please help! Thank you and I appreciate your help in advance.

It seems those posts were deleted from your account (bwice).
If you want to make your blog more secure:
* Please go to your wordpress.com profile page and update your password.
* Please use a secure password with letters and numbers and other characters.
* Please do NOT use the same password that you use for email.
* Please update all of your email passwords to something more secure.
* Use Two Step Authentication: http://en.support.wordpress.com/two-step-authenticationPlease read this warning from the support site:
“Warning: Please be very careful when adding a new Administrator user to your blog. Other Administrators are effectively co-owners. They have as much power over your blog as you do, including the ability to permanently delete it, and the power to remove you from your own blog.”
http://support.wordpress.com/adding-users/Please only give users the MINIMUM rights needed to write on your blog such as Contributor or Author. If you give other users Administrator rights, then that means they will have full control of the blog and they can delete it without hacking. If you give other users Editor rights, then they can delete any posts from the blog without hacking. Authors can only edit and delete their own posts.

kardotim- is there a way for me to prevent those posts from being deleted. I never went in and actually deleted them. Must’ve happened automatically. Thanks for your help!

It’s possible that someone else used your account and did that. Please follow to the steps in my previous reply to make your account more secure.

Some examples of other ways someone could sabotage your site:
using a public computer and not logging out (like in a library)
a room-mate, spouse, sibling, friend with access to your login/email info
leaving your laptop logged in when you grab a cup of coffeeI’m not especially devious, but can guess there are other ways someone who wanted to cause mischief could do so…
