  Hi Is there any way to add multiple user editable blocks/galleries (each edited by a different single signed in user) and containing limited length of editable text and an image. basically multiple fixed blog spaces which can each be edited/updated daily by a certain higher level user user and viewed by all users.

  Hello!

  That would need some custom PHP development. That level of customization would not be available on WordPress.com sites. You could try asking on the WordPress.org support forums here.

  Hello there, Here are the pre-defined user roles available here on WordPressdotcom sites: https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

  By your description, it looks like the the Author or Contributor role may suit your needs, however, there is no way to limit text length at any level of user.

  Otherwise, as @joerepublic said this may need site customization beyond what is available on WordPressdotcom.
