User list as a widget

  I am just wondering is there an option to display blog user/author list as a widget on a collobarative blog either as a simple list of users/authors or based on roles ie, contributor,author,editor etc

  What are the different roles?

  You can create a text widget and put whatever contents you like in it. However, that’s not the only or necessarily best way to handle multiple roles on a group blog.

  These are other options available to you to choose from.

  (1) You can choose a theme that provides for and displays individual authors. There are theme reviews that can assist you in determining if a theme provides this “authors” feature. Look in the section titled “Display post author”.

  (2) If the theme you prefer to use does not this feature then you can create a category called “Bloggers” as a “parent” category and then create “children” (Tom, Dick, Harry) sub-categories for each author’s Name (Role) under the parent category Bloggers.

  (3) Or if neither of the above options are suitable then you can have each blogger include a byline and their role in the posts they create.
