Hi, @alewic,
What role did you give them and is this for the site:
The blog I need help with is alewic.wordpress.com. ?
Thanks, that information will be helpful.
Also, this is the Support Document on User Roles, in case you haven’t already used it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#adding-users-to-your-site

the blog is “p32blog…”.
I have currently 3 users added which can access the blog.
I did invite them via the “invite new” button on the site; and expected to see them in the usermanagement section once active.
I know for all three users that they are active and can access the site. But i can not see them in the user mgmt section of the admin.
So i am “confused”.Please help.

Hm – sorry..
Now i saw where i can view the users – in the “Viewers” section of the site.
But i can not see them in the admin portal for the blog. And i can not change the users to other roles – if wanted.
==> this is really confusing.
Is there a chance that wordpress looks into this approach of managing users… and change it to a consistent mgmt approach???
Or are there reasons for this type of implementation?
thx-alex

Okay, without a full URL, and with the information you have given me, it sounds like you have a private site with viewers, here on WordPress.com.
If you could confirm the full URL (even if it is private) that is helpful.
Viewers, are Readers only of a private blog. It makes sense that they would not be in the Team portion of the People Site, as they aren’t contributing to your site. Does that make sense?
You should find your Team, Followers, Email Followers and Viewers (Private Sites) here:
My Sites -> People ->It isn’t necessarily meant to manage users (like a membership site).
Maybe if you share what you are trying to do, we may have an alternate solution for you.
I hope this helps. Best Regards.

the full URL is p32blog.wordpress.com.
You are right – the people are just readers on the site.
What makes sense ist that all users of a site are managed from the same place – in my mind at least.
Thats why the current implementation is confusing.I would like to have the possibility to pro-and de-mote users as needed from the same place.
This would be useful :).

I understand.
My guess is that the probability of converting a viewer into a team member is fairly low in most cases. But that is just my personal guess. :)
If you have a Membership Site need, you may want to take a look at this:
