  I want to change the name that someone would use to look for my blog. Is changing the user name what I would need to do?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,
  You don’t necessary need to change your username to change how someone would look for or identify your blog; your username exists independently of your blog itself.

  To change the name of your blog… (You can ALWAYS change the name of your blog to whatever you would like!)
  Settings »General Settings
  The General Settings let you control how your site is displayed, such as the title, tagline, language, and visibility.

  Go to the General Settings page.
  Select your site to open that site’s General settings tab.

  Changing your Site Title and Tagline – Another option that you can change any time you’d like. =)
  
  The first setting you will see is Site Title. You can now change it to whatever you would like!

  You can also change your URL if you would like, but the URL change is irreversible; once you discard your old URL, it cannot be reused no matter what, so proceed with caution!

  If you decide to change your URL (so that it would no longer be jeffsmithpct.wordpress.com), people would find it by typing in yournewsitetitleorwhateverthenewnameis.wordpress.com.

  If you would like to change the name of your URL in addition to the site title and taglines, follow the steps below. Remember, once changed, you cannot go back to your old URL!

  To change the name of your URL, follow the steps below:

  1. Once you log on to WordPress.com, click on ‘My Sites’.

  2. On the left-hand toolbar, scroll down to “Settings” and click that link.

  3. Scoll down, then click on “Change Site Address”.

  4. Click the green box that says “Primary Domain”

  5. Click “Edit Site Address”

  6. A window will pop up–hover your mouse over the mikesmailbag.wordpress.com domain. “Change Blog Address” will appear. Click that link.

  7. Enter your new website address and confirm!

  Changing your URL will not cause you to lose any subscribed followers.
