user name ‘does not exist’ ?

A web designer designed my site and then when he was done, he gave me my user name and password so I could update it myself. Now I want to log in, and wordpress login says my user name ‘does not exist.’ I am unable to reach the designer who has since moved. I can see my site online; it’s fine. How do I find out the user name that is correct? I have the password (supposedly!) Thanks.

nanring.com is a WordPress.org site hosted by GoDaddy rather than WordPress.com. There is some information about the differences between the two here:
The username and password for your account on nanring.com is stored on GoDaddy servers, which means we have no access to that information. Please contact your web designer or GoDaddy if you are unable to login to the site.
If you have any questions speaking with them, the WordPress.org support forums will be the best place to ask for advice.
