User name never recognized

  Why is it that whenever I try to sign into anywhere that asks for my WP username, which is patzmich, I am always told the user name does not exist? Everywhere. Today, I tried to add something to my Gravatar, on the “verified services” thing, and — once again — patzmich does not exist. This has been going on for years.
