User name visible with blog's name, online?
-
Dear WordPress,
When I see my blog’s name online, my user name also appears. Is that customary?
Thanks,
Blog: Folio and Ink.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Some theme display author names like http://folioandink.wordpress.com/author/jblue3/ and some do not.

Timethief, thanks for your response, I appreciate it. I was logged in and my friend googled my blog and said he had access to the “edit” buttons and also informed me about my user name. I googled my blog and saw the edit buttons and user name and really panicked. But when I logged out, my “edit” buttons were not visible online, so I am not sure what is happening. I really would prefer that my user name was not visible when my blog comes up in a search, and obviously don’t want my edit buttons accessible either.

re: the Admin [edit] link
It’s only for your convenience and only you can see it and use it while you are logged in.I really would prefer that my user name was not visible when my blog comes up in a search
How can that be achieved? You can make the blog private, use a theme that does not have a author byline displayed, and disable all comments on the blog, as your username will appear if you do answer them.
