“User Not Found”
-
Hi,
I’ve set my blog to private (with the option to add users you want to view your blog). I put in a friend’s wordpress username (i.e. the USERNAME part of USERNAME.wordpress.com) to allow them to view my blog but it is coming up as “user not found”. Why? Did I put in the wrong thing? I’m 100% sure I typed their username in correctly.

That might not actually be their username – check with them?
It’s possible to have bobobobobobobobob.wordpress.com and have the username Bill

Oh, I didn’t realise that! I thought it would be because I know it’s their only blog. I will check. Thanks!

I’m having the same problem only I’m instructed to enter the email address. When I do I get an error message saying “that email is not correct for any users here” or something like that. How in the world am I supposed to add users to my blog?

Sometimes people get WordPress IDs with emails that aren’t the ones they normally use. They’d give you the ones they normally use. You need to be sure that the email you’re sending the invitation to is the email they registered with WP.com with.
