User registration website

Hi,
What would be the best way to add a log in section to my website where users have an account with with personal info and are able to access parts of the sit that others are not able to access.
I would want to be able to send emails to the registered users if they have opted in of course!

I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
