User set up for non techies

    Our blog is for a home owners association. Many of our owners are older and not savvy with the techie way. I tried to sign up my wife as a new user using the invite section of the users tab. She received the invite email and it just got too complicated for her to continue.

    Is there anyway we can have users sign up without being asked all the questions about do you want a blog page etc. They just need to get a user name so they can have an email sent to them notifying them of a post.
