User-to-User Marketplace in WordPress Without Vendor/Customer Roles – How?

Hi everyone, I’m new in WordPress and currently want building a WordPress-based marketplace that works similarly to Facebook Marketplace.

In this concept, every user can both sell and buy without having to register separately as a vendor or customer. There should be no shop name, no company info, and no vendor/customer selection during registration. Just a simple, universal user account.

Here’s what I need the system to support:

✅ All users can list items for sale directly from their dashboard (no vendor role required).
✅ Users can add products with a simple form (title, price, image, description).
✅ There is a cart and checkout process.
✅ There is an order status tracking feature, with stages like:
        • Order Placed
        • Processing
        • Out for Delivery
        • Delivered
✅ There is a chat/messaging system between buyer and seller for inquiries.

My goal is a lightweight, user-driven marketplace, not a complex platform like Amazon or Shopee.

    Question:
Is it possible to build this using a plugin like Dokan (with customization)? Or would WCFM Marketplace, WP User Frontend, or another solution be more suitable for this user-to-user model?

I would really appreciate suggestions for plugins or setups that allow this seamless sell/buy experience for all users without vendor-specific onboarding.
    Thanks a lot!
