  Hi,

  Is it possible to change my username from ‘dijeizasin’ to ‘dillangandhi’, which I recently freed up?

  Hi,

  The site https://dillangandhi.wordpress.com/ has been deleted. Deleting a site does not free up the address, at least not for two years. The Recycling Blog Addresses support page, which refers to sites belonging to others but applies also to deleted sites formerly belonging to yourself, says:

  Sites already deleted by their authors two or more years ago may become available again, if they present no username or other technical conflicts.

  The username dillangandhi presently exists. The corresponding forum profile https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/dillangandhi suggests that it was created about six hours ago. You can not change your username to one that already exists.

  @musicdoc1 . I figured I’d ask you, because you seem to know a lot about the WordPress Community. I’m trying to help a friend move his site from a free WordPress site (https://buttheadbuilders.com) and register and host it with Google Domains, and update it through there. Is that possible? If so, where do I start? Thanks you for your help if your able to!
