i have changed my username and my display name. in the top right corner it shows my new name but in the drop down menu it still says my old name. how to i change this?

The dropdown menu shows your blog name, not your username. Did you keep the old blog when you changed your username?

i did keep my old blog. since writing this i’ve followed the faq and changed the site title, so i was expecting the blog name to be changed now, but it hasn’t. will this permanently remain as the original name or is there anyway to change it?

When you changed your username you chose to keep the previous blog name? Now you have a new username with the old blog url. Did you want a new blog url to go with your new username?

1) the only place the name hasn’t changed is in the drop down menu in the top right corner, where it still gives my old blog name, even though i have followed the instructions to change both that and my username.
2) my old username was theshipsrat
3) my new username is mermaidinafishbowl
4) the url for my blog is: http://mermaidinafishbowl.wordpress.com/i hope this makes sense. everywhere else the name ‘mermaidinafishbowl’, including in my url, is given, except my menu on the top right xXx

Do you notice any difference if you clear your browser’s cookies and cache?
