  Change my username to something i already chose but it won’t let me as it says its taken, but its taken by me?!

  You cannot register a username has previously been registered.There is no such thing as freeing up a username account as they are never deleted. They can only be deactivated. https://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/
