  Hello,
  If I close my account, will I be able to sign up with the same username/handle?
  Please advise accordingly. Thank you for all your help.

  Hi Terry,

  If you close your account the username is blocked from being registered again, in order to prevent impersonation.

  See this help article for more info: https://en.support.wordpress.com/close-account/

  That article also has links to help articles that tell you how to empty a site of its posts, pages, and media or even delete an individual site from your account.

  These might get you to where you want to be :-)

  Hello, since it looks like your site is using the standalone WordPress (org) software, just making sure that you are referring here to your WordPressdotcom username/account. :)
