  I created a new account and realized creating posts looked different than an old account. I closed the new account and logged into my old account and it won’t let me change my username from the account I closed. It says it exists but I closed the account with that username.

  When you close an account, the username can’t be reused.

  @bealeaforganics if less than 30 days passed from when you closed the account, you can reply to the email you received after closing it and ask for it to be restored.
  As @staartmees mentioned, you won’t be able to reuse the name of an account so, if you want to keep it, your best bet is to restore that account.
